About Yusmarg

Yusmarg is an alpine meadow in the Budgam district, bisected by the fast-flowing Doodhganga River and surrounded by dense pine-forested slopes of the Pir Panjal range. Known locally as the "Meadow of Jesus," it remains a pristine, offbeat destination that has preserved its quiet pastoral charm. Yusmarg remains a preserved, ecologically sensitive zone, reached within two hours from Srinagar via the historic town of Charar-i-Sharief — a tranquil day-excursion hub.
